In 1996, a group of like-minded golf enthusiasts founded the Finnegan's Wake Golf Society in Hamburg. The name came from the Irish pub they frequented and since then has grown substantially. After the closing of the pub, the name was changed to Finnegan's Golf Society Hamburg.

We play in different golf courses around the Hamburg area in order to enjoy the challenges that arise from changing locations.
From April to September we on average have two major tournaments per month with the final occurring in September. The trophy you can see in the picture below is a great honour to win and the final day is always a great day out for all.

The fantastic mix of nationalities and handicaps really creates a special feeling of a group dynamic sharing their love of golf.

We also have overseas tournaments once a year as well as match play events throughout the season.
